Wickiup was good this year. A 21 pounder by my son and a 12 1/2 by Ron Lane and many 4 to 8 pounders caught so far. People fishing Kokanee mostly on weekends and very few fishermen during the week. Two tens at Paulina by John Hofferd and fish biting. Lots of 10 lb. plus browns caught by Brownbaggers so far.
Me 15-3 and 11-0
Dan Stewart 14-14
Ron Lane 12-8
John Hofferd 10-4 and 10-3
John Kromp' 10-10
Everybody else, three tens so far (21 lbs. and 11-0, and a 15-10, on powerbait) that I know of...
Three AC Plug fish and seven non-AC fish, so we're in there....with all the lures out there.... _________________
It is weird how lakes go through cycles. Wickiup and Paulina were both slow right at the opener. Also, by this time last year, Crescent had 5 over 10 caught already, and I haven't heard of one this year. _________________

Allan, great post. Great start to the year.
Djangoninja talks about hot times and waves. It happens. These silly fish will be quiet for days on end, then suddenly, boom! Allan was talking about his trip to that "unknown" lake. He fished 5 or 6 days it sounds like, but he got those big fish in a couple hours one day. But, Allan was on the water when the fish turned on and got lucky. (I'm sure that he'll tell you that the harder he works, the luckier he seems to get!)
Allan, you want to talk about other hot waves and cold periods? You've got a lot of experience to share with us! _________________ Mark-O
